Tony Ullman was appointed as Non Executive Director in January 2020.
He has over 25 years experience in senior leadership positions in commissioning organisations in both Health and Social Care, and before that in the voluntary sector and community organisations. He played a leading role in the transformation of Primary Care in Manchester.
As well as previous career roles Tony also had over 20 years experience as a Local Authority Councillor, for most of that time in positions of responsibility and senior leadership; including being Deputy Chair of Police Authority in a large Metropolitan County area, and leading the establishment of Local Authority arrangements for Overview and Scrutiny, and Community Relations.
He currently chairs a Federation of Pupil Referral Units, schools for excluded children.
Outside work roles Tony enjoys dancing, yoga and skiing; and in his spare time he teaches Salsa.
Following a career largely spent in Manchester Tony retired in late 2019, committing his time to making a contribution to life in Kent; and in particular to Medway NHS Foundation Trust and its patients and public.
