    Medway NHS Foundation Trust regret that we are unable to answer the above questions as we do not hold the information in the way you have requested.  This data is not recorded separately or centrally and in order to produce the data you have requested would require an extremely large exercise to acquire and collate this information from invoices, individual department records etc and we therefore consider this element to be exempt from disclosure under Section 12(1) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 since we estimate that it would take a member of staff in excess of 18 hours to collate this information and that the associated costs would exceed the cost limit set by the Fees Regulations 2004 of £450.00.  Under Section 16 I have considered ways in which your request might be narrowed or limited in order to reduce the cost of complying with it.  However, due to the way in which the information is held I do not consider that the Trust would be able to provide the information without exceeding the cost limit.

    1. Can you please tell me who your current supplier(s) is and provide a breakdown of the cost of the services.  Language Connect.  The Trust regrets that we are unable to provide a breakdown as this is not collated separately.  However, we can confirm the total cost for 2019/20 was £110,584.96 and includes all interpreter services in any language as well as Spoken Language Services and BSL interpreters.

    1. Can you please provide details of your current provider(s) (company name, date contract was awarded and date of renewal?  Language Connect contract awarded in July 2013 – we are in a rolling contract
    2. What language services have you provided during the COVID19 pandemic?  Telephone services
    3. How many interpreting requests have not been filled during the COVID 19 pandemic and what languages were they? Zero – interpreters have been provided for all Trust requests during the pandemic.

    Are you providing video interpreting services?  How is this being provided and what are the costs per minute?  We have just recently done some sessions but as a trial.

    1. Can you please provide the name and contact details of the person responsible for the set up and implementation for Interpreting and Translation services.

    Name: This service is used by the whole Trust and as such does not fall under the remit of one individual.  The Procurement department will liaise with a number of operational colleagues and the current supplier where needed.
