I write to request the below information under the Freedom of Information Act. Are you on any of the below frameworks for language services (face to face interpreting spoken and non-spoken, telephone and video interpreting and translation) if so which one?

Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO)

London Procurement Partnership (LPP)

NHS SBS

North East Purchasing Organisation (NEPO)

NOECPC

Health Trust Europe (HTE)

What is the expiry date/s of your current language services contracts including telephone interpreting, face to face interpreting spoken and non-spoken and translation?

Who is your current provider for each of these services? What was the spend by year for the last 2 financial years (2018 and 2019) in total and broken down by service -Telephone Interpreting -Face to Face Interpreting -British Sign Language -Translation

Who is the Contract Manager and Senior Responsible Owner for the force in regard to language services?

    Medway NHS Foundation Trust are currently in a rolling contract with supplier Language Connect.  Previously we awarded via SBS framework which expired and we are now on a rolling contract.

    Medway NHS Foundation Trust regrets that we are unable to answer these questions as this information is not collated separately.  However, we can confirm the total costs for Language Connect are below, but these costs include all interpreter services in any language, as well as Spoken Language Services and BSL interpreters. 

    2019/20:  £110,584.96

    2018/19: £120,906.14

    2017/18: £134,835.09

    Who is the Contract Manager and Senior Responsible Owner for the force in regard to language services?  This service is used by the whole Trust and as such does not fall under the remit of one individual manager.  The procurement department will liaise with a number of operational colleagues in any procurement process
