Easter gifts for childrens' wards

Date: 08 April 2015

Around 75 motorcyclists visited Medway Maritime Hospital to deliver Easter eggs to patients on the childrens' wards. The Maidstone Bikers' Club Charity Ride-Out this year covered three hospitals in Kent, including Medway.
Spokesman Cindi Powell said: "It really made my heart swell at the number of bikes that joined us. I have had such good feedback from the riders and it was such a pleasure to meet the children and parents."
Also, Kent Impretza, a group of Subaru enthusiasts, visited with gifts, mostly soft toys.
Play leader Annie Huxtable coordinated the visits and other generous donations from the community to Dolphin and Panda Wards.
She said: "The wards had a great response this Easter. We had further donations from Slimming World, Natwest, Gravesend & Gillingham, the Greenwich Student Union, Magna car interiors at Sittingbourne and plenty from very kind local families."
