Medway NHS Foundation Trust Governors and Chair Stephen Clark have invited Medway and Swale residents to attend a drop-in session on Monday 23 April to find out more about the upcoming opportunity to become a hospital governor.

The Trust will be holding elections shortly. As part of the role of a governor, Medway and Swale residents can:

  • Represent the interests of the Trust’s local constituencies
  • Represent the community and help the voice of staff, patients and the public to be heard by the Trust
  • Hold the Non-Executive Directors to account for the performance of the Board.
  • Be made aware of the Trust’s achievements, challenges and future plans of the Trust

The drop in session, which will be hosted in the Common Room, Postgraduate Centre at Medway Maritime Hospital, from 3pm to 4pm on Monday 23 April, is open to all interested parties. There will be the opportunity to speak to the Trust’s current governors, who will reveal more about the position and what the process of standing for election involves.
