Acute medical unit / Medical assessment unit
The Acute Medical Unit (AMU) provides rapid assessment, investigation and treatment for patients admitted urgently or referred by their GP.
Anaesthestics & Pain medicine
The anaesthetics service provides pain relief before, during and after surgical procedures.
Cancer services
Our cancer services are delivered by our oncology team. Oncology is the branch of medicine responsible for the investigation, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
Breast care
About one in eight women in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. There's a good chance of recovery if it's detected in its early stages.
Lung care and mesothelioma
Across the population of Medway, there is an above average level incidence of smoking and mesothelioma. Mesothelioma is a condition of the lung that is linked with prolonged exposure to asbestos in industries such as shipbuilding, power stations and building trades.

Macmillan Cancer Unit
We care for around 2,000 newly diagnosed cancer patients and their families each year in our Macmillan Cancer Care Unit.

Anyone can make a request to see the information that Medway NHS Foundation Trust holds about them; this is called a subject access request.
Making a request for the deceased
Whilst the Data protection Act does not extend to cover deceased persons, the Trust is bound a duty of confidentiality to ensure that only the representative of a deceased person accesses records.
